Jeepney, located at 201 1st Ave, New York, NY, is a vibrant Filipino restaurant that effortlessly blends authentic flavors with a modern flair. The ambiance is relaxed, encouraging diners to focus on the food rather than the frills. Many patrons rave about the "Kamayan" feast, a communal dining experience that encourages sharing and celebration. Natasha Raj-Derouin highlights the restaurant's "great feels," praising every dish and eagerly recommending a return visit for the Kamayan. The menu features an enticing array of traditional dishes such as Adobong Hipon, Bicol Express, and Kare Kare Fried Chicken, alongside unique creations like the Chori Burger and Banana Ketchup Ribs. Kevin Kong was particularly impressed with the generous portions that often come with a flavorful rice side, recommending the coconut rice for an extra treat. While some guests noted that service could be slow during peak times, the quality of the food makes the wait worthwhile. The drink offerings are equally notable, with creative cocktails that offer a touch of Filipino authenticity. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Filipino cuisine or new to it, Jeepney promises a delightful experience filled with culinary gems worth discovering.

Jeepney is the perfect restaurant that has those chill vibes focusing on the food over the frills, is both incredibly authentic but also modern and new at the same time, and overall just has great feels. Every dish we ordered was incredible and we definitely will be back for the Kamayan Feast

Enjoy coming here! We tried their "Kamayan" for the first time for a friend's birthday, and became one of the best, most interesting experiences I've had for dinner. The staff is good and attentive to our needs even with a full dinnertime crowd. Their bar is great! We had delicious drinks that had unique names, ingredients and just a touch of Filipino authenticity. So naturally, we kept them coming! Only managed to come here a handful of times, but had a great experience each time.

The food here was amazing! All the appetizers and mains we ordered were really good and we finished everything! The portions here were also quite generous, as the waiter told us each main is big enough for 1-2 people. I think this is because each dish comes with some sort of rice side (jasmine or garlic); but they were really good. Would also highly recommend getting the coconut rice as a side too, it was delicious! One thing that wasn't quite perfect here was the service. It took around 45 minutes after we ordered to start getting our food, and all the apps and mains came at once. Even then they forgot one of my friend's steak order so he had to sit idly for 20 minutes while we devoured our food. The food is worth the wait however :)

Kamayan night is the best! Great way to introduce your friends to Filipino food. The food is great but more fusionany than authentic but still worth it. Drinks are strong. This place is very cozy so get used to the tight spaces.

This place holds dear to my heart. Pushing Filipino food to the mainstream audience has always been Jeepney’s goal. Their food is amazing and I want people to appreciate their righteous greatness! Visit Jeepney and experience their culinary feat and you wont be disappointed!

Even if you come for the balut alone, dinner at Jeepney is well worth a trip to the East Village. All their dishes are boldly seasoned yet skilfully balanced. The staff are extremely nice, and their excited response whenever they serve balut can make any day feel like your birthday.

The food was really good and the mango and kalamansi lime mimosas were great. The service was very prompt. The insides atmosphere was alright with a bunch of pictures and other stuff making it very cozy but out back was very nice as it was adirned with fake bamboo and fake tropical plants.

We just got appetizers, which were all pretty good. My favorite was the sausages, which were savory (slightly like potatos) and slightly sweet. The fried tripe was also really good, a great mix of crunchy and chewy. The Halo Halo dessert was also yummy, it came with two chunks on flan on the sides, and a little flag on top.
